A 365 Daily Challenge: Day 92

Day 92
28.05.2014
Topic: Missing
Topic given by hodgepodge4thesoul

A naked rocking chair
Moved by the wind
Release of a familiar sound
Old wood grinds their body parts
Small tiny rumbles around the nails
Just like it used to
He can still imagine her sitting there
Rocking back and forth
The warmest of smiles
Humble sounds that intertwined with the music of the chair

He prays for windy nights
So he can open all the windows
Get ready for the symphony of a lost dream
He closes his eyes
Let the wind caress the armchair he’s in
And move its way towards hers
How beautiful she sings tonight
Like the voice of a siren seducing him further into his imagination

Further

Further

Further into his dreams

And suddenly he stands there with his queen that he has been missing for years

And they can finally sleep
