MesAyah
Norwegian rapper from Oslo whose on a journey of seducing the world with a poetic lyrical approach to music that you have not seen since the progressive rock era in the 70´s.
Ever since he started rapping back in ’05, MesAyah has focused on the listeners and provided them with something new. He wants to evoke feelings and thoughts both on a personal and collective level, and let the audience get more out of the lyrics when giving them another listen. MesAyah has an artistic approach, allowing the listener to interpret his music in their own way rather than adopting his beliefs.
“The moment you as a filmmaker ,or any other type of artist, wants the audience to feel exactly the way you are feeling, you have to stop making art, cause that will never happen.”
-David Lynch

Hello friend,
Thank you for liking one of my posts. I listened to your work. I like it. I would like to have you consider some of my writings for your music. I was incarcerated for a few years here in the states and that afforded me time to write, a lot. I wrote over 400 lyrical poems with a rhyming cadence. Of struggle, pain, love, life, birthdays, basically a lot of genres.
Let me know, I think it would be mutually beneficial.
-Peace
sobnyc.wordpress.com
Thank you
Even though it is not a very common thing to perform other peoples writings in the hiphop genre, I can at least promise you that I will check out and consider the writings, and congratulatrions with 400 lyrical poems!
What might be a possibility is that I perform them as spoken words as a tribute to you, and in that way use them, like a MesAyah performs poems by…..
how does that sound?
-Peace
Hello friend,
Sounds like a most generous offer.
When you’re ready let me know the topic you might want to”speak about” and I will send you something from the collection OR I could write something specific for you. Or I could listen to some of your music and “pick one for you?”
Let me know
-Peace
I will do that. and It would also be a good idea that you pick some for me as well
MesAyah,
If you have a kindle or ereader you might like where I came from. If you don’t let me know and I’ll email you with the book as an attachment
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006O53WC8
-Peac
I do not have a kindle or an e-reader, or I have one on my phone. Can that be used?
I’ll email it to you if you like, where do you want me to send it.
I can send the book as an attachment or in the email itself. I’m not sure if the phone will have enough room for the data. It’s aproxx 300+ KB.(175 pages)
Steve
That would be great. You can send it to. MesAyah@mesayah.com. thank you very much
Enjoyed your latest two posts. Poems or raps? Who cares. My friend Omar Musa does both very well. At 82 I have given up NOTHING, and the idea of death doesn’t frighten me.
What an interesting blog. Thank you for subscribing to mine.
I really appreciate what you’re doing here, especially what you said about evoking thoughts and feelings out of music (rather than just meaningless noise like we see lately…). Also, thank you for following me, greatly appreciated!
And thank you for following me back as well. What would we artists and poets be if we didn´t evoke thoughts and feelings, then we be just words and a melody, where the melody is speaking for us not with us
Hi! thank you kindly for following my blog

Greetings and gratitude for subscribing to my ramblings, MesAyah. I admit that I don’t listen to much rap music (though I recognize that it is a form of poetry). As someone with Viking blood in her veins, I figure I owe it to you to give you a listen.
Thanks again.

I read your “ABOUT” page, here, and I am very pleased to know that you are a poet, same as I am!!!! Wow… what a coincidence!!! It is very much appreciating that most of my friends are poetic.. where I could share my ideas in writing.
If you’d like to come in to my poetic world… I am wholeheartedly inviting you to come and visit my other blog, http://onlinecreatives.blogspot.com , see you there….
I would love to follow you here and subscribe on your recent updates!

Thank you Jon, I am glad to be a friend of yours in here, I have just visited your other blog as well
and these lines here:
Nostalgic nights, memoirs of past
Keeps reminding me of her precious glass.
Full of tea; of temper, of trust;
Oh dear, don’t be mad because—
Your hair is getting bald.
WOW, Imagery is great in those lines
And I hope that we can keep sharing our ideas in the furture and kind of feed from eachothers verses
Thank you for following me back

But, please keep coming back. For, like the weather here in New England (USA) if you don’t like it, wait a few minutes, it will change.. Thank you again.
Ps. I wrote a rap song, it’s called “The Golden Age of Rap” it is about getting old, in a humorous way.
Thank you for subscribing to my blog! Though most of the content of the blog is in Assamese , the sweet coincidence is that they are also lyrical poems. I donot write poems but I enjoy them very much. Loved your work! Thank you.

Thank you for following my blog. Your work is creative and I wish you good luck in your music career.
Thanks for following my blog. Your poetry is powerful. I’m looking forward to continuing to explore your blog. Thanks again!
I am glad you are following my blog, especially after reading the quote. I believe an artist must produce what inspires him or her not what s/he thinks the audience wants or to manipulate people into specific emotions or thoughts. If the artist is inspired and committed then his or her work will inspire others in ways that s/he will not have imagined.
I really enjoyed the quote you picked to include above. Interesting blog!
Hey man – so glad you found my site. Love what you’re doing with your music – the simple fact that you’re following your art (and your heart) – but I share with you the innate sense that you framed: “If the artist is inspired and committed then his or her work will inspire others in ways that s/he will not have imagined.”
It is the energy (intention, vibration) that goes into the music that has the power to positively shift the listener (or negatively shift them, if the artist isn’t careful, or is simply venting).
Anyway, I applaud you and support you. Btw – photo #32 on your website is the money shot on there. Peace – j.
Thanks for following my blog.. I am a beginner in writting art and also may be I am not so good in language. Since I have got no one to review and comment my works, my mistakes would go unnoticed. So I would like someone to point out the mistakes. Thanks…
thanks Mesayah for following my crazy little blog. Good luck on your lyric writing !
This is the right About | MesAyah – Life through the mic journal for anyone who wants to assay out out nearly this theme. You asking so more its most effortful to argue with you (not that I really would want…HaHa). You definitely put a new revolve on a topic thats been handwritten nigh for period. Precise sundries, only enthusiastic!

Hey
YEs I would love to feedback on your music, just give me a heads up when you post them and I will check them
How strange!!! I started a blog at WordPress although I have had many at Google (I close them when they get to big and start anew). Today on my Postcards from Eve poetry blog (http://postcardsfromeve.blogspot.com/) I posted the Youtube video of “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel because it is one of what I call my top three “scream songs” – when it comes on my radio or iPod, I feel especially blessed and sometimes scream for joy. So I got in my car to go work out and it was already ON the radio at 1:33 pm. Then, when I was swimming, I was talking to a fairly new lifeguard and he said his name was “Gabriel.” Then I got home and gave a massage, looked at my email and you had added me at WordPress (to follow me) and I tuned into you and saw Peter Gabriel’s name on your heading. How strange is all this? I’ve always said I’d be a rapper if I had been born later. I can spin a rhyme like Eminem. Thanks for adding me and as soon as I figure out how to follow you, I will (WordPress is a bit different than Google, which I’m used to). Cheers to the strange coincidences. They make life sooooooo exciting!
Coincidence is one of the greatest things we have in Life, I am glad it lead the path towards my blog as well:)
I am hoping for even more coincidence in the future:)
In your Eyes is a magnificent song,
I guess you will enjoy my touch to the poetry and music then
Glad we could meet under these circumstances
have a great week
MesAyah

Hello MesAyah,
Thanks for the follow. If you have any English language tracks we’d like to look at them as a possible Daily Jamz.
And…this has never happened before: One of our editors was so struck by your poetry he felt compelled to leave you a piece of his own…
The sun blinks
Over winter’s edge.
Clouds of porcelain
Filamented needles
Break themselves
Shower down
Upon the glass face
Of a still lake.
Old Man – Civil War born conifer
Who lives next to shore
Sheds his winter coat
At the insistence
Of the wind.
Hello E-PO
Be sure to thank your editor for a great poem and a beautiful way of waking up this morning:)
I have a lot of English Language tracks that you can check out, and I am coming out with more material soon.
Chcek Spotify by searching: MesAyah, I have two EP´s and a single out there. If there is some of these tracks or if you want to be the first one to air my new tracks, I can send the ones you want to your daily Jamz.
Filamented needles
Break themselves
Shower down
Upon the glassface
WOW
Thanks again

thanks for visiting. i like the sound of the 365 day poetry challenge…might give it a go…..i’ll be back to read more…
We are making ourselves familiar with your English language work. Our apologies for the delay in the discovery of the English language tracks upon first discovery of your site. We’ll notify you about which songs we’ll use for Daily Jamz.
P.S. Our other author (he likes to be called editor) would like to thank you very much for your reply to his poem. Your enthusiasm for his work brought a wonderful morning as well.
Good Day To You, Sir
Thanks for liking my post. cheers
Thanks so much for following my blog – I love the writing that you have here. More to come – more to share…….
Appreciate you reading my post! I’ve been touring your site and am enjoying it so far. I’m not into rap but your new song is rather catchy and I like the fact that it’s not full of profanity and hate. I’ll keep coming back!
If I could turn someone over to be liking a rap track, I have done something right:)
Profanity and hate has nothing to do with the belief in the hiphop cilture, it is just a branch that built up through media.
a) thx for following
b) respect man, like your work…a lot
Thanks for reading my posts and what-not. It’s been a while since I considered myself a rapper, but I have always looked at it like this: Lyrics about the real are lyrics about the real, and that’s the essence of Hip Hop. As KRS-One said, you are not doing hip hop, you ARE hip hop.
Hey! Thank you for the follow! All the best!
Thanks for following my blog!
Hi MesAyah! Can’t wait to listen to your art! …Thanks for following my blog…
I just put out another Express it Forward Video (a collaboration with this crazy-in a good way- visual artist Ula Einstein)… this one is called Stop Holding Your Breath…
I hope to inspire some creativity to all who see these episodes:

Keep Writing… Keep Creating…
D
Thank you for sharing the video with me, it is important thoughts to have in mind when you are beeing creative, To pull yourself out from the sphere, and just breath, stop think, feel again, and start to create. A type of intake of the world. I like it
Awesome! You so get it! Stop, Think, Fee Again… and then start to Create!
MesAyah….
The link is here http://gigoid.me/2012/03/09/lions-tigers-and-awards-oh-my/ Congratulations, and best wishes….
I just nominated you for two awards: the Sunshine Award, and the Inspirational Blogger Award. You deserve them both.
I look forward to exploring your blog! Thank you for stopping by mine! I agree with the quote you ended your “about me” with, being able to interpret poetry, music, art, any medium really, your own way is what makes it more personal. If I can’t relate to something then I am less likely to come back to it.
Really love the quote on your about. Nice. Thanks so much for following my blog. It was a nice surprise.
Thanks for the visit and the follow, MesAyah. Much appreciated, brother! All best to you and your creations.
Peace.
I just read “Syriah”. Really felt it! I like that you have substance and variety in your work. Not many rappers out there with substance these days, not mainstream at least. And like Barefoot said, I love the David Lynch quote. He’s a good filmmaker. And thanks for reading as well.
Kudos
Thanks for following my bog! I look forward to seeing your posts as well…

That is true. They are on my website http://www.MesAyah.com. My blog is more about what is happening, my poetry ånd so forth. The juicy stuff is on the other page:)

Many thanks for following my blog! Your artistic approach to lyrics is both refreshing and inspiring. I love that quote by Lynch.
Thanks for following my posts. Yours are very interesting and worth reading.
Thanks for following my blog. I love your challenge! It amazes me that you have written every day! I have read some of them (not all I confess lol) and they are wonderful! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the follow and for stopping by my blog. My 5-year-old son loves music and often makes up his own words to familiar songs.
Thank you for stopping and liking my latest post. I must say, the Lynch quote is very, very, true. I often wondered if people interpret others’ work in a way different than intended…if that was a flaw on the part of the artist or the interpreter. I do, now, realize, it is neither. It is such a joy to create and to participate in others’ creations, knowing there is no right or no wrong…it just is. I look forward to following your work…truly.
Rhonda
exactly, that is the true beauty of it all, one word can release a million different emotion, if you put them together in a line, there is no limit to what you can make people feel. I must add though that the more certain and clear the writer is in his imagery, it is certain to bend readers in so many different directions
That is true…but the true meaning can ONLY be discerned by the reader yes? No matter the content or intent…the interpretation is the thing that keeps us coming back for more! Which I most certainly shall!
YES that is true
Your follow is appreciated… and I am intrigued by your work. Artistic expression (in any form) is miraculous for the artist and the audience… keep making miracles here!
Hey there MesAyah
Thanks for passing by and for following my blog.
I look forward to having a look @ yours in greater detail
Spennende blogg, og jeg liker Genesis, jeg også
Takk. Ja Genesis har noe helt magisk ved seg. Hadde gleden av å se dem live i Herning på gjenforeningsturneen deres. Det var en rå musikalsk opplevelse

i’ve been intrigued by your blog ever since i found it. I keep thinking there is something good to get into and share between us, though we are not exactly doing the same stuff. lets keep an open dialogue, and maybe bust some shit right open, what do you think?
I agree, we keep an open mind and Dialogoue and something will come up from it. Let us share some ideas and see what we come up with
Hey,thanks for following my blog
Though our musical genres are not the same
I have no genres:P I make music and listen to basically everything that got some soul in it, from classical, to progressive rock, hip hop, metal, blues, jazz electronica, etc.:)
Very cool then
Thank you for following my work today. Artists unite. Keep on rapping and sharing your music of life. May the force (inspiration) be with you always.
Hi MesAyah, thanks for following my blog. Sounds like you’re a busy man! I look forward to hearing more about your music.
hey man, nice tunes… I love the rhythm of the one song I could find for free ;P thx for “liking” my haiku. Soon as I actually get a job, I’ll definitely have to buy some of your tunes and hear more.
Hi ….. Thanks for following my blog. Have a nice day and good work.
Thanks so much for following my blog! I love your way with words and I’m sure they’ll be featured in my little corner of the internet sometime soon

Hi. Thanks for the interest in my blog.
David Lynch also said this:
“Ideas are like fish. You didn’t make the fish. You caught the fish. Now you can cook it in a good way or a bad way.”
I think you have a nice cooking style
I just wanted to thank you for checking out my blog, and following! I love what you’ve done with your blog, and really like your work! I absolutely love “Perfect World”, very nice :]. Keep up the awesome work!

Thank you. Happy i could serve you something you like. Peace
Hey, thanks for checking out my blog, I appreciate it very much. I took a listen to some of your songs on your website and they are really inspiring. “It’s not About Me” is especially good to me. Keep putting out that music and inspiring others. Looking forward to following along. Take care.
Thanks for the follow, bro! Hope you like my lyrics… feel free to borrow them any time for your work…
Thanks so much for following my blog…I just checked out your site. Haha, I’m Norwegian too
But seriously you’re extremely talented. Your stuff is amazing. And nothing like I’ve ever heard before either! It’s very unique. It’s cool when you can listen to or see a work of art and can make a good guess of who did it before knowing.
Thank you very very Much for those words, that I make you feel that way, gives me strenght to carry on doing this and makes everything worth it. Are you a Norwegian living in Canada or a Canadian with Norwegian Family?
Again Thank you very much
I’m Canadian but I’m half Norwegian from my mother’s side and half Dutch from my dad’s. I’m good friends with many of my relatives in Norway. The language is so beautiful, I wish I could speak more of it. I can only speak a few phrases and sentences in Norwegian, mostly stuff my grandmother taught me before she passed.
Thank you for following my blog! It is quite humbling to have complete strangers stumble upon you! I love the quote you have from Lynch – it is so true about the desire of artists … if we do it because we love it and the end goal is beyond someone’s approval, I believe it is that much more rewarding because we’ve done it for the love of the art, not acceptance! Be Well and best of Luck in your journey!
Thanks for checking out and following my blog. Love what you’re doing. I think the world has a lot to learn from northern sensibilities, i.e., compassionate society. I’ll stay tuned.
Hello
Thank you for following my page! I’m completely new at this, and am actually quite nervous (but at the same time excited) about sharing my writing.
I have had a look through your work! Wow. I must say, I love what you are doing. You have a very engaging writing style!
I look forward to taking this journey with you, and being captivated by more of your expression ☺
Thank you for following my page. It’s good to see that artistic discipline is still in style. All the best.
Hello from sunny Florida! Thank you for checking out and following my blog. You have a lot of good and interesting work here.
Hello MesAyah, thank you for following my blog.
Continued success!
Thank you for following my blog! Your work is beautiful! Keep it up!
Hi,
You know how it is with blogs, I get people who seem to like bits of my blog but never even seem to have read it! One of the reasons I blog is to avoid having to tell people anything, there is at least a taste of anonimity there. Thanks for looking at my blog, I followed through to yours and enjoyed reading the lyrics. It took me a while to get the voice or the rhythm. I found that I followed the meaning more when I wasn’t taken along by the rappers voice that I could hear in the lyric after that. Not being able to read it straight, the oddness of the line length and the half rhymes etc made it appealing but also highlighted the meanings as I fought to bring it into some system! Once it fitted, that is I stared to hear the voice, I found that the meaning dropped into the background. I really like it all though, just thought you might be interested to know how I felt it.
Pasdelabas
Thank you. That is by far the most thorough and giving feedback I have gotten so far and that I truly appreciate. So thank you very much Pasdelabas.
What caught my attention was a reference to a plank!
Its a reference to the Planck constant, a physical constant reflecting the size of a quanta, that this silent kid who didn’t wanna be troubled or bothered solved daydreaming in his imagination
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planck_constant
I thought it was the plank in the silent child’s eye (remove the plank in your own eye before noticing the mote in someone elses – a new testament reference): that the child so self involved had found some understanding, that being their own humility – I also read it as suggesting that such a statement was hubris in itself.
Ånd right there you see the beauty of words, you got a totally different message out of it, then I intended when i wrote this piece.
Hello! Just wanted to say thank you for following our blog and I have returned the favor! I checked out your site and liked what I heard! I look forward to more!

Hey MesAyah, I just listened to a few of your songs and read your About Me page, and wanted to say that I look forward to hearing of your future releases. As you may have seen from my blog, I am not a musician (aside from playing a little bit of guitar), but am very interested in analyzing the meaning behind an artist’s songs and albums, whether it be the specific message that the artist tries to deliver, or the unique ways that individuals interpret them. It seems as though you are interested in the same thing – obviously taken from the perspective of an artist who is trying to write thought-provoking songs – and, while my reviews have thus far been focused on rock music as opposed to rap, I would love to hear your thoughts on some of these songs that I review as well.
Best,
Pat Ahern

Congrats on your 3000+ likes! Sweet! Thanks so much, too, for stopping by my blog!
LOL, my first thought, when seeing your blog, was that “David Tennant raps?”
http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/david-tennant-sexy.jpg A pretty uncanny resemblence. Keep up the good work!
hahahhah lol.
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog, I appreciate the follow!

Hey and thanx for following our blog! Much appreesh!

Also, would love to hear your feedback on our service!
You’ve got some great funky stuff here – a really unique sound. Thanks for stopping by my site!
I wanted to thank you for checking out my blog and following me. i could not help but notice the David Lynch quote up above. My sons and I have been watching Twin Peaks – a television show from 1990 co-written by him and directed for tv. I watch it then, but for some reason my kids wanted to see it now. It has been fun to share Mr. Lynch’s talents with them. My oldest wants to be a movie director, Anyways, I adore David Lynch. He has always been true to himself as an artist and in this day and age this is admirable:)
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for deciding to follow it. I appreciate that very much, and I hope you continue to enjoy my posts.

Hey hi,
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking the same. Hope to see you frequently at my blogs.
Happy blogging
Thanks for the follow darling. I kind of love your stuff.
Thanks for the follow MesAyah! I listened to “One Step Forward” and my favorite line was “You’re not born with abilities, you build ‘em.” I like that because I don’t consider myself to be naturally gifted at any one thing, but I work constantly to improve every skill I want to develop. Best wishes and success for you and your career!
I think you are very talented and this is coming from someone who doesn’t particularly care for the genre. So kudos to you. Keep on doing what your doing.
Thanks for the follow. I love your weave of words, but my soul seeks strings and breath. When the power-station dies, or the sunflare fries, elecronics meet their death.
Thanks for following, I really like the idea of your genre…best of luck!
Thanks for following my blog, MesAyah. Going to have a listen now.
Very much enjoying your work. Keeping doing what you’re doing. Thanks for the follow.
Really it (Poetry) is expression of the self. It is music ( originally a mnemic device). Really, you can take a poem like Keats’ Fall of Hyperion, throw on Mozart’s Dias Irae Requiem in D-minor and you’ll find the scansion of Keats’ poem is the same as the famous requiem. Honestly, words are our most sacred precepts as human beings. Look under the velvety darkness of space in a galaxy a hundred million years away and Tycho-Brahe’s formula lay waiting. Draw a circle, pi peeps out. Mathematics is hard-wired into the universe. Words are probably the only things we as human beings have to offer it.
Thank you for following me. Words are very important, and they should not be silenced. NO matter where you are they should find any kind of vehicle to go forward.

Thanks for wandering my blog and deciding o stay a while. Most of my poems are old school from way back when. I have one that I plan to post when I return from vacation. It is a poem that I had a song version to many years ago, but never did anything to get it into music. It will probably be posted around May 9th. I would love to see it set to music. T
here was a tune in my mind when I wrote it. You have some really good work here. Happy Reading! Happy Writing! I’ll see more of it when I get back.

Well done for building such an interesting site. Your music and your poems can be challenging to interpret and that is a great thing. If we wanted simple we would just stick to nursery rhymes.

Cheers!
Greetings from the other side of the North Sea. You followed my blog – that’s cool, I think you are my first and girls say “You always remember your first”.., apparently. Well – curiosity was pressing and I actually read a lot of your blog page. 2 things: Norway is a place I’ve always associated with in my heart and yet never been. Possibly the year after next – my name & gene pool have history in the cold North winds. Also, rap & poetry and one and the same thing for me so I was joyed to read about your purpose/aims. I look forward to seeing how your mind unfolds and what more you have to offer. I’m not a musician by any standard but words grasp hold of me. Best wishes. Will.
thanks for dropping by and following as well, you have an interesting and inspiring blog here, keep it up.

Thanks for following and sharing, much appreciated. Doug
Thanks for following my blog! All the best to you in your career in music as well.
You were or are following a blog called opt4 whose goal was to prevent domestic violence and promote nonviolence. My name is Chad Herman, Visionary/Motivational speaker and I was writing that blog for over 3 years. Everything you saw on that blog was my creation…and I hope you liked it. Unfortunately, because of federal budget cuts, I no longer am able to keep up that blog. I hope that others will in my absence, but I don’t know. With that said: I have my own blog, motivatingforpositivechange.wordpress.com dedicated to the idea that “if we all did something to help a cause we truly believe in, we could change the world.” I still write about gender equality and nonviolence, in addition to multiple otrher causes and ways to continue creating positive change. Please check out motivatingforpositivecghange.wordpress,com. I promise you won’t be dissapointed!
Thank you for following my blog. Best wishes!
Hello Norway!
“MesAyah has an artistic approach, allowing the listener to interpret his music in their own way rather than adopting his beliefs.”
I think that this is a great point of view. The arts that leave space to individual interpretations and “aha” moments are the most fascinating ones. (And so does Lynch indeed.) Wishing you the best on the path of your art!
